This build, codenamed #000, is what started the whole Velodio concept, it was our catalyst and it was under development for over two years, because this project has seen a lot of trial and error. Bumblebee, as we nicknamed it for obvious reasons, was built on a road frame that sits on a pair of 27.5″ wheels, oftenly used for MTB. It comes with slick, but puffy tires, a 2-speed automatic rear hub with coaster brake which explains the lack of brakes. We often describe it as a hybrid, because it expresses the athletic silhouette of a track bike and the stiffness of an MTB, the perfect urban beater.
